14^th August – Celebrations of Independence powered by Telenor Pakistan

Telenor in collaboration with City District Government of Lahore is conducting Azadi Celebrations in Lahore. Similar activity is also being conducted in Karachi and Rawalpindi. Telenor & CDGL Azadi Celebration will start on the evening of 13^th August in Lahore and will go on till early morning of the 14^th August 2009.

 

Azadi Celebrations by Telenor Pakistan in Lahore consist of huge drop downs of National flag on various buildings with graciously decorated lights and ambiance that will fill in the surroundings with the colours of freedom. Telenor will also be doing cultural activities on four different spots. These spots will be buildings that will highlight the cultural heritage of one province each. For example, a building that is showcasing the Balochi tradition, will carry all the props of Balochi culture.

That’s not all; the third activity that is being conducted is the mobile floats branded with Azadi Celebrations. These floats will roam about on the main avenues of the cities i.e. in Lahore (Mall Road), it will have Folk Drummers and sound systems showing the enthusiasm of Freedom plus provincial cultural depiction at Alfalah Square. At one corner of the same roundabout, there will be a performing stage where different performances will take place.
